How would you describe your taste in music?
Vast! Any music, regardless of genre. As long as the passion can be felt and a listener can connect to it.
Who do you consider to be your favourite band and why?
Sam – Enter Shikari – Consistenly reinvent themselves – Energetic Live, push boundaries recorded, Socially/ Politically aware.
Ben – Bon Jovi – Made me pick up a guitar.
Who is the best live band you’ve ever seen?
Sam – Toss up between Muse and Enter Shikari, both diverse bands, great live shows and productions!
Ben – Bruno Mars – London O2 – Mega Show, Crazy Sound, Super tight!
What is the one song that you could listen to forever?
Sam – Don Broco – Nerve
Ben – Bon Jovi – In these arms
What album, if any, was a turning point in your ‘musical life’ and why?
As a collective – Bring Me The Horizon – Sempiternal/ That’s The Spirit
The sound of these albums has really brought rock back to the bigger market with a modern sound, something thats definitely influenced us.
In 3 words, what makes a good album or song?
Journey, emotive, true
A festival or a gig? Why?
To play at?
A festival for fun and meeting loads of people, a gig for having control over the sound and production etc, plus you don’t smell as bad by the end of it.
Who would be your 3 dream festival headliners?
Justin Timberlake – No explanation needed, he is god.
Bring Me The Horizon – Probably the biggest band in modern rock right now.
Hans Zimmer – Imagine the Batman theme live!!!
Who are the best new band you’ve discovered lately that everyone should know about?
Dream State are pretty Cool! Unique vocals, they have a big sound! Their fan base is growing rapidly off the back of their new single, ‘White Lies’ which is good to see!
What band or artist is your secret, or not so secret, guilty pleasure?
Little Mix, The harmonies are amazing haha!
