It’s time to get to know Kera Stewart (drums) and Connor Turner (vocals) of Echoic! We set Kera and Connor 10 questions about their musical likes, tastes and guilty pleasures…

How would you describe your taste in music?

K: Extremely diverse! We will listen to anything from Slipknot to S Club 7.

Who do you consider to be your favourite band and why?

K: We’re all huge fans of Avenged Sevenfold. They’ve written tonnes of great songs over the years that mash many genres and influences into their music, which has given them an incredible unique sound. They have never been afraid to take risks during their writing process.

Who is the best live band you’ve ever seen?

K: Biffy Clyro! Their performance and stage production if out of this world!

What is the one song that you could listen to forever?

K: September Song by JP Cooper.

What album, if any, was a turning point in your ‘musical life’ and why?

C: Grace by Jeff Buckley. His voice and music was such an incredible inspiration to me in my teenage years. He definitely inspired me to start singing.

In 3 words, what makes a good album or song?

K: Super catchy choruses.

A festival or a gig? Why?

K: Festival. The vibe is constantly buzzing before the artists even arrive and you can catch a load of your favourite acts and upcoming bands all in one day.

Who would be your 3 dream festival headliners?

K: Avenged Sevenfold, Incubus, Muse

Who are the best new band you’ve discovered lately that everyone should know about?

K: Bellevue Days!

What band or artist is your secret, or not so secret, guilty pleasure?

K: One Direction. We actually have a good sing along to their music on tour.
