MONDAY MOTIVATION: Singles to get you through the week

As it was a bank holiday yesterday (and we were recovering from our Slam Dunk escapades), Monday Motivation becomes Tuesday Motivation to help get you through the first day back with some banging new tunes.

Quiet Lions – Wasteland

Quite Lions are praising the fact we have a right to vote in the EU elections with their Wasteland single!

Frontman Michael Williams said: “This track is all about having a voice, and using it for the greater good. We felt it right to release this ahead of the upcoming European elections—another very important day for the future of this country and Europe.”

Dude Trips – In Between Days

Scottish alternative emos Dude Trips have revealed their new single In Between Days!

Bassist and vocalist Jamie Mathers said: “I remember being in the studio, hearing the pre-chorus and looking round to the band, and everybody had the feeling that this could be a single. Just that feel-good moment when creating music.”

“It started out being about missing someone when a long term relationship of mine struggled to stick. During the writing of the song it ended badly—from then on the main theme changed to anger. It’s probably the first song I had written for the record, and it blew my mind how different it was for us as a band musically. I’m a huge fan of Boston Manor, so I guess I was listening to them loads at the time.”

Low Hum – Fake Reality

Low Hum‘s latest single Fake Reality is taken from forthcoming album Room To Breathe (June 7. Last Gang Records).

Cosmic Ninja – Sympathy

Cosmic Ninja‘s latest single Sympathy is the last to be given the music video treatment from the quartet’s recently released self-titled EP.

The band said: “We feel we have produced an original sound with this record. We provide an alternative and fresh take on what is on the scene at the moment as well as being both diverse and relatable. The band are passionate about uniting the community through music, a lot of our songs reflect the current political climate and the devastation it leaves in its path. We blend a lot of styles and genres, which created the path to our sound.”

Solence – Empire of the Sun

Sweden’s newest export Solence are continuing with the distinct rock sound that has come out of the country in recent years. Their new single Empire of the Sun is absolutely fantastic!
