April 17th, 2017 will see Manchester’s Academy 2 house some of the world’s best and heaviest bands! Thy Art Is Murder complete with former vocalist CJ McMahon, are set to headline 2017’s Impericon Fest. The metal touring festival stops off in six cities across Europe with Manchester being the only UK date.

For just £27.90, you can spend your bank holiday seeing deathcore legends Thy Art Is Murder in their first UK appearance following the return of original vocalist CJ as well as Miss May I, Being As An Ocean, In Hearts Wake, Carnifex, Broken Teeth, Brutality Will Prevail, Napoleon, Casey and Higher Power.

Now that’s a whopping NINE awesome bands and we recommend you get down there to see them all, however, we are going to give you our two top picks that you definitely should not miss.

Of course the first one has to be Thy Art Is Murder just for the fact that CJ is back! Just a year ago, he quit the Australian band saying that he couldn’t live like this anymore adding “I spend too much time away from my fiancée, family and friends, touring has taken a massive mental, emotional and physical toll on me” which is completely understandable. However, that year away from the band, who recruited Molotov Solution vocalist Nick Arthur as a replacement frontman, has rejuvenated CJ who is now back full time and as previously stated, this will be the first UK appearance since CJ rejoined. Aside from that, you should go see them because they are heavy, ridiculously good and put on a bloody great show!

Check out They Will Know Another (the last track to be recorded prior to CJ’s departure) below;

Melodic hardcore band Being As An Ocean formed in 2011. They have announced that they will be spending the summer on the road as part of Vans Warped Tour 2017 so it’s no doubt that they will be using Impericon Fest as a major warm-up for the tour! The band also had a performance, filmed in Bordeaux just days after the Paris terror attacks, feature in a French film A Taste Of Ink, produced by the same man who filmed the show for the band’s music video This Loneliness Won’t Be The Death Of Me.

Check out the live track for a taste of what to expect below;
