If you’re on Harker‘s mailing list, then the Brighton indie punks have a surprise for you! They have announced their Cassette Club which is a selection of tapes that will be made available free of charge exclusively to members of their mailing list!
The first is a collection of tracks from a live session recorded in February, including some unreleased demos and material set for their debut album! The tapes will be given away completely free to a selection of fans, chosen at random on Sunday 9th April. While one lucky fan will also win an extended bundle including a Harker t-shirt and a copy of their ‘Still Seething / Such Grace’ cassette tape which also contains covers of The Replacements & Hot Water Music.
Vocalist/guitarist Mark Boniface says; “We recorded a live session in February while on tour with our friend Jon from The Doublecross and we wanted to do something fun with it. Cassette tapes often get treated as the poor relation to vinyl, but I think there’s something really great about them. Visually you can do some really interesting things and they are relatively cheap to produce when compared with vinyl which means we are able to do things like this”
