Ahead of the release of new EP Remember You, The Emergency Please gave us an exclusive track by track insight to the wonderful EP!

The opening track from the EP (and namesake) is, Remember You, it’s a guitar driven indie/pop punk song. It consists of jazz chordal harmonies, tight syncopated rhythms and catchy vocal lines creating a summery alt rock sound. We recorded a video for the track here

Next, we have, I Can’t Stop, and it starts off as a funky indie head banger which grows in dynamic to a heavy half-time chorus. The sound progresses from tight chord based licks and pop influenced bass lines to a heavy ambient sound.

Lost, is a gentle slower atmospheric track. The verses are bass led and have repeating guitar licks which progress to huge choruses filled out with backing vocal harmonies. The song ended with an emotive and thick guitar solo.

Clark Kent Syndrome, closes the EP and its an alt rock song inspired by elements of math rock and metal core. The drums subtly encompass characteristics of tropical music over quick technical guitar riffs. The vocal lines transition between quickly delivered lyrics to screams and shouts.
