Download Festival is not content with being only the best rock and metal festival in the world, it is now set to become the temporary home of WWE!
The festival’s wrestling ring has proven to be a monster hit over recent years and this year is set to top the lot with the announcement of WWE’s NXT Live! tour heading to the main arena!
Alongside festival headliners Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath and Rammstein, festival-goers will be able to see WWE NXT superstars including Finn Balor, Bayley, Baron Corbin, Asuka, Shinsuke Nakamura and American Alpha tag-team Jason Jordan and Chad Gable (line-up may vary).
The festival’s deputy promoter Dave Bradley says of the announcement; “Download Festival are beyond stoked to be showcasing WWE NXT at this year’s festival – rock and wrestling is the ultimate marriage, and we can’t wait to bring this festival exclusive to the Download fans. The greatest future WWE talent and the most infamous rock stars, together in one arena, for one weekend only. Bring it on!”
