Download Festival has revealed the activities available to fans in the campsite village and this year, we have DO.OMYOGA, where for the first time, fans can get together and perfect their downward facing Download Dog.
The whole idea of DO.OMYOGA is combining the worlds of relaxation and wellbeing with our favourite heavy music. There will be 90 minute free classes on a first come, first served basis at the Side Splitter tent in the campsite village at 11am on Thursday and Friday and 9am on Saturday and Sunday.
In the arena itself, this year’s festival also sees the introduction of the Lavish sponsored area – The Sindrome! A place to get your fix of all things freaky, from fire breathers, to record breaking, death defying stunts, with Viking battles even taking place! Gracing The Sindrome include the pop-up circus Caravan Of Lost Souls, Area 51 performers Fire, Feathers and Fur and also the insanely popular Demolition Download featuring a Battle Heritage, which fans can even join in with in 2018 with the Battle Heritage workshops on Friday 8th at 2pm!
The UK Air Guitar Championships will also be held on The Sindrome! The winner, will have a shot at the world title in Finland, so while it is a bit of fun, there are some super cool prizes if you’re in it for the win!
Infernal Varanne will also be bringing their death-defying, record breaking stunts to the stage each day, while Lords Of Lightning will bring their electrifying duel to headline the Sindrome on both Saturday and Sunday.
Back in the campsite village, we have Circus Of Horrors returning on the Wednesday and Thursday to the Doghouse tent, but they will also be gracing the Sindrome stage between heats of the Air Guitar Championship, so if you don’t get to the site in time for their village performances, you can catch them in the arena. They will be supported by rising metallers Kalloused! The World’s Greatest Wall Of Death will also be gracing the campsite village!
