Download Festival 2023’s new additions and changes

In case you missed the news, here’s the changes to Download’s village and new things to enjoy while at the festival’s 20th anniversary in June!

Download Festival is continuing the 2023 push and organisers have announced some updates and additions for festivalgoers to enjoy.

The festival will have a ‘mini moshers’ campsite which is designed specifically for families with children under five attending! (Just make sure to remember ear defenders for the little ones!).

There will also be more changes to the village – in 2022, we had a concrete village for the first time and now we have a new and improved District X!

District X will be an expanded village full of stores, food outlets, secret shows and some surprises. It will also be home to the new Download Megastore – which will have all the Download merch you could hope for as well as a coffee shop and interactive zone.

Anyone who wants a bit of extra comfort can upgrade their tickets for the new Download Lounge – it will give you access to a private bar, luxury restroom facilities, cloakroom, phone charging area and a pamper area. It will be located close to Main Stage.

There is also a new camping option of rock retreat camping at Melbourne Hall. It will provide campers with luxury toilets and showers, a dedicated bar, pamper area, pizza kitchen, tea room and more!

Download Festival 2023 – the 20th anniversary – takes place at Donington over June 8-11 with four days of music! There are some tickets still available for the weekend which is headlined by Metallica (doing two sets), Bring Me The Horizon and Slipknot.
