Glaswegian alt-rock trio Donnie Willow have just supported fellow Scots Vukovi on tour and are delighted to tell us all that they will be releasing EP Exhibition on June 9th through Sunbird Records!

The band say; “We have been working closely with the Sunbird team for the past 6 months or so, they have treated us like one of their own each time we’ve been down to play at their venue and we are delighted to now officially call them part of the Donnie Willow family. It’s just a big group of friends making and releasing music and we couldn’t be more excited about it!”

Frontman Arthur Piddington says of new track Blessed Company, the first taste of the EP; “It’s a lot heavier than some of the other stuff we’ve done,” says frontman Arthur Piddington about the new track “but it’s such a fun song to play live and has been received very well at shows. Vocally, I made a conscious decision to push myself and showcase an improvement from the last record.

“At the time of writing it, my head was a mess. I had so many things that I wanted to vent through the lyrics that it became a culmination of topics rather than just being about one thing. I also tortured myself with rewriting it so many times that I ended up totally doubting its worth. But I am super happy with how it turned out, Bruce (Rintoul) did a great job with the production, it’s exactly how we imagined it.”
