Cornish trio, Auction For The Promise Club, are one of the hottest new names in indie rock. With strong vocals and a distinctive guitar sounds the band have been picking up a lot of new fans from their many festival appearances.
But what are the records that really inspire them? The band let us in on their record collection.
Perran – Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds – Abattoir Blues/Lyre of Orpheus

This was the album NC & TBS were touring when I first saw them live, one of the most intense concerts I have ever witnessed. This album in particular shows the many sides to the Bad Seeds -raucous, melodic, humorous and sorrowful – and Nick Cave’s lyrics are brilliant (as always). In my opinion it’s one of the best double albums ever made.

Zoe – Nirvana – Unplugged in New York

Brilliant simple songs that sound great full on band style or stripped back.  The rawness of the performance and fragility within Cobain’s voice.

Perran – Aphex Twin – Selected Ambient Works 2

I listened to this album a lot in my first year of uni. It was a great panacea to all the cheesy Club nights and relentless MTV screenings that were hard to escape when you were living in student digs. A brilliant ambient album made by a true innovator. And he’s a Cornish boy!

Zoe – Radiohead – The Bendz

I just love it!

Toby – Placebo – Battle For The Sun

It rocks my balls off!  I liked hearing Placebo taken down this route with slightly more production, enhancing the epic nature of the songs.
