Deaf Havana want to find a Trigger for All These Countless Nights

Deaf Havana were catapulted into rock’s big leagues in 2013 following the release of their incredible record Old Souls. This even led to the band supporting frontman James Veck-Gilodi’s hero Bruce Springsteen. This, James says, “made us feel like a proper band”, however, behind the scenes, finalncial troubles and a lack of communication almost saw the end of the band!

“I was very close to quitting,” says Veck-Gilodi, “basically, I didn’t want to be in the band anymore.”

Thankfully, some sideshows in 2014 reminded him of his and thir fanbases’ love for the band and led to a sudden burst of inspiration; “It’s probably the most creative I’ve ever been,”

And so, a new batch of incredible Deaf Havana tracks were born, including the latest offering of Trigger. James says of the track and video; “it was one of the few songs where the words just came out of me as I put the pen to paper. It’s about me feeling alone in relationships and alone in life, reflecting on all the mistakes and things I had done wrong, yet too idled by laziness to do anything to change them. In the video, Ceci (the actress) represents me, being so close to so many people, yet feeling so far away and essentially remaining alone.”

You can watch the video for Trigger below;

The track features on the band’s forthcoming record All These Countless Nights, set for release on January 27, 2017. This, James says, is the band’s most expansive and eclectic release to date.

“This album needs to take us to a higher level,” asserts Veck-Gilodi. “Not necessarily in terms of chart positions, because I don’t care about that. I just can’t wait for people to hear the album. We appreciate the fact that everyone’s waited this out with us. It’s going to be great.”
