Wouldn’t it be cool if the tables were turned on Sylvester the cat for once? He’s always chasing poor Tweety Pie! Anyway, I digress, thanks Catch Fire! The reason for that random question is that the Nottingham pop-punkers have released a new single called Sylvester and being the cartoon fanatic I am, that was the first thing that came to mind!

But anyway, enough about my obsession with cartoons, lets talk about this video… Firs tup, we need to tell you that the track is taken from their forthcoming EP A Love That I Still Miss (Rude Records, March 24, 2017). The video features frontman Miles Kent tied up with rope, he explains that the song is “very personal” and “about feeling trapped in relationships and cowering to the fear of upsetting other people. I’ve backed myself in corners far too many times, and let people walk all over me, and then punished myself for being weak. When I finally plucked up to the courage to make my own decisions and do things for myself, I began to feel myself again. It’s a cliché, but life really is too short to waste. Do right by you, every time, for the rest of your life.”
