London rockers Black Orchid Empire have released the video for track This City. The song is the third to be taken from the trio’s forthcoming debut album Archetype set for release on November 11.
The accompanying visual takes an anime theme and looks super cool!
Frontman Paul Visser explains; “We all absolutely love anime and the freedom of expression that the medium allows, and it’s been incredibly exciting to be able to explore that with this video, rounding out the stories we’ve told with our previous singles by showing this dystopian, sterile future. The guys at RamJam did an incredible job, and we’ve been absolutely blown away by the results all the way through the process. We can’t wait for you guys to check out what we’ve created – plus seeing ourselves portrayed anime-style is just badass.”

Speaking of the album, Paul says; “Archetype is a rock album. A proper all-in, listen-from-start-to-finish journey; something to get caught up in and obsess over until you hear little overlooked details on the third or fourth play-through. For us, each song is something that needs to be refined and worked on until it takes you on that perfect, heady rollercoaster – our album as a whole is the same way. It’s dark, it’s heavy, it’s melodic, it’s complex, but all in balance and all working together in the best interests of the record. We’re incredibly proud of this album – it really does define us as a band.”
