July’s band of the month is….. Brutus!
Brutus are loud, fierce & in your face and that’s exactly why we love them. Their website describes the first album as having ‘post-rock construction, black metal dynamics, hardcore energy, prog and math-rock flourishes and pure pop melodies’ and it is a combination that is an absolute dream. With vocals that piece through the heavy guitar sounds it’s difficult to not be drawn into their sound & the live performance is equally as enchanting; their 2000 Trees set is something those who didn’t attend should regret.
We had a quick chat with the band & got to know them a little better.
