Yorkshire rockers As Sirens Fall have released the video for Smoke. The track is taken from their debut EP The Hospital Party.

The video for the track picks up where previous release Where You Are ends. We see the leading lady getting hit by a car on the way to meet frontman Mikey. After falling asleep while waiting for her, Mikey dreams he is on an adventure which reveals the tragedy. Smoke sees the story continue with the girl showing Mikey where she is. How does it end you ask? Well you’ll have to watch and find out!

The band say of the track and video; ‘Smoke is about confusion. It’s about anger with God. It’s about mental illness, war, disease, famine, global warming, injustice and inequality. The unfairness of the world is continually denied by those benefitting from it, even though it is so plain to see.

The video for Smoke follows on from our previous video ‘Where You Are’. There’s not ever an explanation as to how Mikey gets to where he is up at the end of that video, but that’s pretty intentional. It’s meant to symbolise confusion and guilt. The feeling of responsibility when you put someone into a bad situation and feel like it’s your fault.

The weekend we made the videos was one of the most grueling but awesome weekends of all of our lives. We loved it so much. I think it was a solid 40 hours working but we got there in the end and we are so happy with them.”
