Artist Playlist is the new feature from AltCorner where members of your favourite band are in control! Each participant is asked to compile a list of bands and/or tracks that they cannot stop listening to right now and create the ultimate playlist!

In this weeks edition of Artist Playlist we have the immensely talented Luke Rainsford of Layover

Sorority Noise – Fuchsia

This song is just beautifully written. I discovered this band when they supported Modern Baseball on their UK tour and I just haven’t been able to stop listening since.

Crywank – Song For A Guilty Sadist

I recently played with Crywank, and even though I loved the music before,, it became even more endearing after seeing it live. This song just has something charming about it lyrically, and I think it’s a beautiful song.

The Hotelier – Your Deep Rest

This song gives me goosebumps every time without fail. A stunning song which builds throughout both musically and lyrically, and it is just perfection.

Better Than Never – Back Of The Line, Kid

Good dudes, and this jam is so catchy. Stellar live band too.

Coast to Coast – Cornerstone

Coast to Coast are good friends of mine, but when listening to this song it feels more like listening to a band I love than just a friends band. This song has some of the most touching lyrics I’ve ever heard from a smaller local band, and it’s definitely worth listening to.

Hi I'm Gareth, A foolish Welshman that has found himself living in Scotland. I adore live music and this all started back in University when a friend dragged me along to my first gig and I saw Travis. From then on I spent a lot of time going to see bands from rubbish uni bands that had formed one drunken night to the mighty Blur. When I finished uni there was a 10 year gap between gigs (long story). Now though, on any given day of the week I can be found in the venues of Glasgow. With regards to my music taste I love anything with great lyrics and heavy drums. When I was younger (and still am) I was obsessed with a band called Alisha's Attic.
When not at a gig I will be found at my computer playing games like Prison Architect, Hearthstone and Wolfenstein.
