A song that made you want to make music?
Sex Pistols – God Save the Queen. Before the punk/new wave explosion we never thought of being in a band, it ignited us into action.
Best rider you’ve had?
It would be moveable feast in east Germany. It followed us from room to room.
Craziest moment you’ve had in the band?
Playing in Eastern Europe for the first time after the Berlin Wall came down. We had no idea what to expect. It was a bit of a culture shock like traveling back to the 1970s.
Deepest lyric one of your songs features?
I guess I don’t like to preach, I want the listener to be involved, use their imaginations and come up with their own interpretations.
Easiest song you wrote?
Some songs work quicker and are more immediate but the ones the take time turn out to be more rewarding in the long run.
Favourite song in your set?
I look at the set as one piece of music, you need all the songs together to make it make sense.
Guest you’d most like to feature on your record?
Marilyn Monroe maybe with the power of AI it will be possible..
Hardest thing about being in a band?
Finances, travelling long distances, loading in and loading out.
Interesting fact about one of your members?
I was at art school in Northampton with Bauhaus.
Jokes you have in the band?
It’s usually the driver who gets all the wit and pent up frustration taken out on them.
Key to writing a song?
A good hook that’s memorable.
Longest distance you’ve travelled to play a show?
From Berlin to Binche in Belgium in one day then set up and play a show.
Most inspiring musician you’ve experienced?
Be seeing kraftwerk live its a different concept of how a band can be..
New band you’d recommend?
There’s lots of good new local bands, but I would say headswitcher at the moment.
Opening for this band would be ideal?
NIN or The Prodigy.
Place you’d most like to tour?
Never been to Japan, really like to do that one day.

I’s walk a million smiles for one of your miles.
Reason for the title of your recent/forthcoming release?
The new release is called DEJA VU 1986-2026, a recollection/rarities out on GLASS MODERN.
It’s a best of 40 years. Deja vu is a mind trick that makes you think you have seen something before..

Part of this 40 year celebration were doing a special show in our hometown of Northampton on September 12.
The old days of music were better than the current, do you agree?
Hindsight is a great thing. I still go and see lots of bands new and old when I’m not playing, djing, or promoting.
Unusual merchandise?
Did see at a UK subs gig a bum flap. They had their print on everything imaginable.
Variations you’d like to do on any of your songs?
Some of our songs have been remixed by us we have other people do them as martin/attrition has done a few.
What do your fans mean to you?
We look at them as friends, we don’t have this audience/band separation.
X-rays or any treatments needed for band related injuries?
Bad case of montezumas revenge after eating at the Elvis Motel in Hungary, which had a bar on a jumbo jet, or was I having a feverish nightmare, plenty of liquid was the cure.

Panther lurks for a long time before pouncing into action, also just a pussycat.
