In today’s A-Z challenge, we ask Venice Revive to tell us about themselves by taking on our famed 26 questions!
A song that made you want to make music?
I starting writing music by chance, I was playing just for the fun of it and discovered I could actually write songs too, but the song that made me want to play guitar to begin with was Avenged Sevenfold – Afterlife.
Best rider you’ve had?
Craziest moment as an artist?
When I reached the top of the national rock chart with only my second single. I was in tears.
Deepest lyric one of your song’s features?
My first album describes the process I went through while dealing with the loss of my father, every single word there is as deep as it can possibly be.
Easiest song you wrote?
My latest release! the tabs are on songsterr so I highly recommend looking up our cover for MCR’s The Light Behind Your Eyes.
Favourite song in your set?
My songs are my children; I don’t pick favorites 😊
Guest you’d most like to feature on your record?
I really want to do a collab with so many bands, it’s hard to choose who just one, but if I had too, another local band called Insaint, their music is amazing and we have the same audience, a collab between us would be legendary
Hardest thing about being a solo artist?
No money to finance everything, producers price themselves knowing that their average clients are a five-man (and women!) group.
Interesting fact about you?
I also race in the national karting championship; I’m a race winner there!
Joke you like to tell?
Stuff that get me on Meta’s lists, honestly.
Key to writing a song?
Feelings. I wrote some amazing bangers after girls broke my heart.
Longest distance you’ve travelled to play a show?
Most inspiring musician you’ve experienced?
New band/artist you’d recommend?
I know I already mentioned insaint, but seriously, check them out.
Opening for this band/artist would be ideal?
Trivium, would be a dream coming true.
Place you’d most like to tour?
I’d love to go anywhere in the world there are fans at, would love to meet every single one of them.
Quote that you’d like to pass on to our readers?
Just keep pushing.
Reason for the title of your forthcoming release?
I was diagnosed with autism very late, at 16, I didn’t get any support at all because everyone thought I was just problematic, the next album will be filled with lyrics that would’ve really helped me if I were told them as a child, but never heard.
There is no title yet, but I promise it will be impactful.
See me live at?
Currently still in Israel, all around it, hope to break the glass ceiling soon!
The old days of music were better than the current, do you agree?
I really miss it when there were guitar riffs and my favorite instrument wasn’t used just as a wall of sound in the background, but music evolves and we must evolve with it.
Unusual merchandise?
The artwork of my debut album doesn’t scream “metalcore” at all, which makes it so unique.
Variations you’d like to do on one of your songs?
A piano version for Evolution, would give me goosebumps.
What do your fans mean to you?
A band is nothing without their fans. They literally mean EVERYTHING, they’re our lifeline.
X-rays or any treatments needed for band related injuries?
You’re late for a show, whose fault is it?
Definitely the singer, who else?
Zoo animal that best describes the personality of you?
(Googling what animal behaves like it has ADHD) A ferret. Definitely a ferret.
