In today’s A-Z challenge, Kyle Jordan takes on the 26 questions to tell us about himself!

A song that made you want to make music?

Stairway to Heaven” by Led Zeppelin. That song showed me how music could be a journey, a story, and an emotional rollercoaster all in one.

Best rider you have had?

Wings and locally brewed craft beer. Definitely a memorable gig!

Craziest moment as an artist?

I think I had a stalker seriously.

Deepest lyric one of your songs features?

Just like my mother, you walked away, and just like my father, you forced me to change. From Loved By You—it’s raw and painfully honest.

Easiest song you wrote?

Mexico.” The vibe just flowed, and it almost felt like the song wrote itself.

Favourite song in your set?

Currently, Demons. It’s cathartic and really resonates with the crowd.

Guest you’d most like to feature on your record?

Courtney Hadwin. Her voice is electrifying and would bring incredible energy to a track.

Also Codi Kreil from The Fallow Years or Jessie Murph.

Hardest thing about being a solo artist?

Thankfully, Im not anymore. Greg and Erick are a huge part of The Kyle Jordan Project.

Interesting fact about you?

I started out playing music in church and eventually transitioned to bars and rock venues. Quite the journey, right?

Joke you like to tell?

Why did the guitarist break up with their partner?
Because they found them out of tune!

Yeah I know groan HaHa!

Key to writing a song?

Authenticity. Write from a place of truth, whether it’s your pain, joy, or something you observe in the world.

Longest distance you’ve travelled to play a show?

I once played percussion and drums in Costa Rica! But that wasnt planned. For me, its the good old United States of America.

Most inspiring musician you’ve experienced?

I mean, my friends are incredibly inspiring. Greg Van Kerkhof, Erick Gerber, Codi Kreil, Leeroy Stagger, Shalaine Stebbner, Tyler Liebe, Katie Burke, Die Tired, Trevor Kidd, Geoff Round, Sever the Bond, Lucas Renshaw. All of these guys make music a better place.

New band/artist you’d recommend?

Leprous is an incredible progressive metal band from Norway that pushes boundaries with their unique sound and intricate compositions. One of their standout features is their use of two drummers in live performances, creating a layered and dynamic rhythmic experience that’s truly mesmerizing. Their music blends heavy riffs, soaring vocals, and emotional depth, making them a must-listen for fans of complex and innovative music. If you’re looking for a band that defies genres and delivers a powerful live show, Leprous should be at the top of your list.

Opening for this band/artist would be ideal?

Imagine Dragons. Their energy would be a perfect match for The Kyle Jordan Project.

Canada, South Africa, New Zealand, Netherlands, Australia, and Mexico.

Demons represents personal battles and the struggle to overcome them—whether they’re internal or external.

Id love a custom guitar pick that double as bottle openers—practical and cool!

Variations you’d like to do on one of your songs?

A stripped-down acoustic version of Mexico with just a guitar and trumpet.

What do your fans mean to you?

Everything. They’re the reason we do what we do. Their support makes the struggles worth it.

X-rays or any treatments needed for performance-related injuries?

I had to go through rehab after my brain surgery to regain full coordination. Im still working on a few things.

You’re late for a show, whose fault is it?

Dunno But Ill willingly take the blame. As band leader the responsibility falls on me.

Zoo animal that best describes the personality of you?

A meerkat. Always alert, a little jumpy, and constantly looking around like, “Who’s got snacks?”
