Van blowouts, Roadside ambulances, being in circles pits whilst playing. Never a dull moment in Defects.

Instrumentally, Scapegoat was done in a day.

James’s great, great, grandfather ran a circus

Longest distance you’ve travelled to play a show?

To date with Defects, Germany.

Most inspiring musician you’ve experienced?

Seeing any band of our childhoods reach great heights is always inspiring. Bring Me The Horizon headlining festivals And the rise of bands like Orbit Culture are amazing to see.

Reason for the title of your recent/forthcoming release?

The music covered a lot of tough topics from daily struggles, past and current events at the time of writing. lyrics and instruments helped to aid in venting personal frustrations. Modern Error always felt appropriate.

The old days of music were better than the current, do you agree?

Yes and No. The age of social media has definitely had a massive impact for the good and bad. But there’s still amazing music coming out and it’s exciting to see where people take it.
