A song that made you want to make music?
Let’s say ‘I Want You’ by Kiss. That song, the first one from my favourite Kiss album, Rock And Roll Over, kickstarted me into the world of music at the tender age of four.
Best rider you have had?
Where we got unlimited beers were always the best, and most dangerous ones…
Craziest moment as an artist?
Can’t remember a moment I would say was «crazy», but many that I would say were cool moments were I really had a good time. Or funny moments things got a little out of hand, but nothing too crazy…
Deepest lyric one of your songs features?
Hmm. Difficult to say. To this day I’ve only released two songs with this solo project. ‘The Weight of Life’ I would say has deep lyrics. It only consists of two short verses, but every sentence in that song has a deep meaning to me.
Easiest song you wrote?
‘The Weight of Life’. That one came in ten minutes, tops.
Favourite song in your set?
I’ve always loved to perform ‘Simple Man’.
Guest you’d most like to feature on your record?
Let’s say Jason Isabell. THAT would have been crazy! Love his lyrics, his playing and singing.
Hardest thing about being a solo artist?
You have to do the dull shit work too. Other than that, it’s nice to be the master of it all.
Interesting fact about you?
I am a teacher and currently an inspector at the school where I work, alongside my musical projects.
Joke you like to tell?
Why don’t skeletons fight each other?
They don’t have the guts.

Key to writing a song?
For me, write when you feel good. Don’t force anything; let it come to you. For me, songwriting has to be a passion project without a deadline.
Longest distance you’ve travelled to play a show?
Tromso to Budapest. By plane. Other than that, we drive some gruelling distances in the northern parts of Norway. 8 hours one way, no problem!
Most inspiring musician you’ve experienced?
Ronnie James Dio!
New band/artist you’d recommend?
Hmm. Let’s say Hannah Wicklund.
Opening for this band/artist would be ideal?
Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit. Again, really love the music.
Place you’d most like to tour?
Europe. I would love to travel through as many countries as possible playing cool gigs. For every new day, another city and country to play.

Reason for the title of your forthcoming release?
Title is still to be decided.

For now it’s only local gigs. I am planning a gig in Oslo in the spring. More on that in a couple of weeks…
The old days of music were better than the current, do you agree?
Not necessarily. I like the possibilities social media presents us. I think the music coming out these days is really great. Of course there is bad shit out there, but so many great new releases too!

Sorry, no. Still early days. No merch.
Variations you’d like to do on one of your songs?
Not really.
What do your fans mean to you?
Everything. The fans are one of the main reasons doing this. To have someone on the receiving end is crucial!

Haha, no!

Life. Life gets in the way sometimes.
