Q1 – Who is in your band?
George Mavridis, Nick Mavromatis, Michael Charlton, John Patterson, Georgios Arvanitis
Q2 – What is your take on your own sound?
Our sound is probably a bit bipolar. It’s a mix of contemporary rock/metal with elements from an array of musical genres like alternative, punk, pop, EDM, r&b and trap. From heavy riffage, breakdowns and aggressive screams to ambient, chill soundscapes, melodic passages and catchy clean vocals.
Q3 – If someone was listening to your music for the first time, what song would you tell them to listen to and why?
Tough one. We’d probably recommend “Iridescent” because it’s the latest song off our upcoming album, and it’s probably closest to the sound that we have in mind for our future material.
Q4 – What is the plan for 2020?
Releasing and promoting our new album Zodiac is our main goal. Because of the lack of touring and gigs during the coronavirus quarantine rules, we’ll do some live recorded performances on camera, which will hopefully give our fans the feeling they’d get at a gig. We are also releasing some sick cover songs and maybe even some new singles afterwards.
Q5 – What is the one song you wish you wrote?
Periphery – Icarus Lives!
Q6 – What three bands inspired or continue to inspire you the most?
Bring Me The Horizon, Issues, Lost in Separation
Q7 – Where can our readers see you live or listen to your music?
Like I said we currently are being quarantined, so the only way people can listen to us is online on Spotify, or YouTube if they wanna check our cool visuals! Also if anyone wants live material and to be kept up to date with the recording process of our new songs, they can follow us on Instagram. In every case you just have to search for October Ends!
Q8 – If your band was an animal, what would it be and why?
That’s a very interesting question, because each single release off of Zodiac is linked through the artwork to a specific animal. We’d choose the tiger, for the fact that it can be vicious and wild but, in certain cases, can behave like a kitty when it’s tamed. The perfect correlation for our music 😉
