HOT TAKES: Getting to know God Alone

Welcome to the feature; Hot Takes! We chat to a band or artist that we have unearthed as some what of a hidden gem and allow them the chance to introduce themselves to you, the reader.

Q1 – Who is in your band?

Jake O’Driscoll: Guitar/Vocals
Cian Mullane: Bass/Vocals
Jack O’Hanlon: Drums
Sean Thompson: Guitar
Dylan Kelly: Synthesizer/Electronic/Live Guitar

Q2 – What is your take on your own sound?

We describe our sound as “sad dancey metal”. It’s a fusion of post metal, math rock and dance music.

Q3 – If someone was listening to your music for the first time, what song would you tell them to listen to and why?

For an overall introduction to our sound, Yes Aii is probably the best thing to listen to. It gives a nice view of the most extreme genre bending we have.

Q4 – What is the plan for 2019?

We recently just finished our Irish leg of the EP tour and from the 21st-23rd of November we’re touring England in Bristol – London- Worthing

Q5 – What is the one song you wish you wrote?

Insomnia by Faithless as it has one of the best synth breaks ever and its some banging tune.

Q6 – What three bands inspired or continue to inspire you the most?

Altar of Plagues, Fugazi and Converge would be the main influences on our music.

Q7 – Where can our readers see you live or listen to your music?

Our music is out on all streaming services now, but we encourage people to use Bandcamp to support our music though.

Q8 – If your band was an animal, what would it be and why?

Honeybadger because we’re cute but angry :3
