Q1 – Who is in your band
Oh hello there, Lee ‘The Cardinal’ Martin on guitar & vocals, Ali ‘Big Dog’ Waite on bass and Andrew ‘Señor Dotsworth’ Head on the skins.
Q2 – What is your take on your own sound?
Slamming rock and roll, enough hooks to catch the biggest fish in the pond and plenty of bumps along the way to keep it interesting for the more seasoned tune spotters out there.
Q3 – If someone was listening to your music for the first time, what song would you tell them to listen to and why?
The whole of our new EP ‘Fool’s Errand’ is the smorgasbord of the above remit to a tee, start there!
Q4 – What is the plan for the rest of 2023?
I’ve just about shook off the hangover from the release show of said EP, so we’ll be shopping that around as best we can and might fit a sneaky lil show or two in before I crawl into my Xmas nest, mostly grafting away in our rehearsal room though!
Q5 – What is the one song you wish you wrote?
You Never Give Me Your Money by The Beatles is the first song that springs to mind, it’s as expansive as a film in three minutes.
Q6 – What three bands inspired or continue to inspire you the most?
I’m currently following QOTSA round on their UK tour, who are still the high-water mark. Them and Wilco are always an inspiration in a live setting and Grandaddy in terms of crafting a song in a traditional sense – I always return for a musical re–dose of endorphins.
Q7 – Where can our readers see you live or listen to your music?
All the usual streaming platforms – sign up to our mailing list and you might just get a sneaky unreleased tune from the vault. You’ll be first to hear about any live shows there too.
Q8 – If your band was an animal, what would it be and why?
We’re the panther on the tree of the rock and roll jungle, you may not have seen us yet but once you do you ain’t forgetting about it in a hurry.
