Spanish Love Songs will release new album Future Nausea on November 6 through Pure Noise Records.

Vocalist Dylan Slocum said: “When I first sat down to work on the record, I basically told everybody I just wanted to make a big rock record, whatever our version of something like Born in the U.S.A. would feel like if it could exist.

“But as much as I wanted to make a major-key-sounding album, I wanted it to be as angry politically as it could be. More angry than sad. I actually think this is the least sad record we’ve ever made.”

Darkest Hour – Suffer Divine

Darkest Hour will release new record Suffer Divine on October 30 through MNRK Heavy.

Vocalist John Henry says, “Our first single and title track of the new album Suffer Divine is about justice and accountability. This one goes out to anyone who chooses to push and peddle hatred and division, to anyone who would break down others to feed their sadistic, insatiable ego.”

Guitarist Mike Schleibaum said:“This album is so special to us. We’ve had the support of an amazing team at the label, the incredibly talented Mark Lewis, and each other as we have navigated the process that gave birth to Suffer Divine. The result is one blistering album. It’s full of rage, thrash, and aggression but also feels musically dense. Sonically, this is an album born out of love for things like melodic death metal.

“Conceptually, the album touches on the idea that you can derive self-worth (and some value) from your own suffering. In fact, the creation of this album was the personification of that actual act. There is so much rage, anger, and pain put into this record, yet at the same time it holds in itself so much hope. It’s equal parts hope, rage, and empathy.”

RXPTORS – TALES OF ILL REPUTE

RXPTORS

RXPTORS will release new EP TALES OF ILL REPUTE on November 20.

Frontman Simon Roach said: “TALES OF ILL REPUTE is the first in a double feature of EPs. The songs are all based upon real life incidents that I took and placed in a fictional universe to play out one narrative. So each song has a double meaning. A place in the storyline, and what actually happened in real life.

“I’ve never been one to open up, and never really processed quite large life events in a straight forward manner. So creating this fictional world has helped vocalise feelings of grief, anger, optimism and denial. It’s easier to get perspective when I can visualise other people in these situations, so writing these songs has been quite cathartic.

“Each of the songs play out a scene, so I decided to name the tracks as if they were B-movies. The narrative plays out as a gang of stragglers travel through an apocalyptic wasteland, travelling through districts to get to a final destination, where they can overthrow a governed area, The Capital, to live out their days there, encountering loss and hardships along the way. In real life, each of the ‘districts’ that I’ve created are actually a metaphor for the stages of grief, and overthrowing the governed district is how I battled stress and depression while grieving.”

The Grindhouse
Stray From The Sociopath
Right Back Down

Wage War – Landfall

Wage war

Wage War will release new album Landfall on October 9 through Fearless Records.

“One of our main goals was to put forth the most identifiable sonic footprint of who we are as a band,” Cody Quistad said.

“This record had to stand on its own two legs. We didn’t tie it to anything popular or trendy; we strictly did what we do as Wage War and leaned into it. It’s like we cherry-picked the best parts of every iteration of Wage War and turned them up to 11.

“I know the DNA to create Wage War songs. From there, we made different choices in the studio, which gave the album its own character.”

“We’ve always gone to outside producers,” Chris Gaylord said. “Cody was like,‘I think I got it’. We could really see and hear his progression over the last few records. It was cool to keep it in-house.”

Tracklist:

Reclus.É – The World Can’t Take Much More

Reclus.é

Reclus.É will release debut album The World Can’t Take Much More on November 13 through Rise Records.

The duo comprises of Soren Bryce (Tummyache) and Daniel P. Carter.

Carter said: “This album is the sound of two people becoming friends through the collaborative, creative process of making a record. It’s a body of work that represents both Soren and Daniel, but also a third thing that is simply Reclus.É.

“Writing and recording the album was a process of learning what each other is about, honouring each other’s creativity, becoming friends, and celebrating the moments when ideas and opinions aligned. It’s a document of each letting go of the reins to allow them to find something neither would have made alone. Made in an era of great social turmoil, its’ a comment on life in current climes, at a time when the world can’t take much more…”

Breed 77 – VII

Breed 77

Breed 77 will release new record VII on November 13.

Frontman Paul Isola said: “The recording of this album has taken place over a year and a half and 3 countries, the writing of it even more – it wasn’t the most ideal situation but I think we thrive through adversity, you take negatives and turn them into positives, use the time, hone the songs, develop them and explore where they take you. The result is an album with real musical depth…

“‘VII’ is a sprawling, eclectic affair, not by design but by the nature of how we recorded it – it takes inspiration from a large period of our lives, kinda like our first album all over again haha! It straddles the spectrum from driving metal riffs and the energy we’re known for – to soft ballads and everything in-between!

“This album still sounds like Breed 77, I mean, there’s the flamenco guitars, the tribal rhythms, the hooky vocal lines, but it stretches and pulls at the concept of B77 in a dozen different directions – it’s Breed evolved, somewhat familiar, but fresh and exciting.

“Lyrically, ‘VII’ explores various themes, there’s a lot in there on how, in today’s society, there’s so many of us that feel we don’t fit in; In the same way we felt in our youth, in the schoolyard – you’d think you’d have found your place in the world by now…well I’m here to say that it’s OK not to fit in, it’s OK to think different…it’s OK to BE different – it’s the original thinkers that will save the world!

We cannot stress how important, how vital this album is for Breed 77 – after so much time it was imperative to us to have music that we believed in, songs that were strong and could sit beside the crowd favourites in our set…’VII’ is our mission statement – Breed 77 is back in a big way!”

Tracklist:

End Of The Line
Outside
We Were Young
I Should’ve Let You Know
Got Me Wrong
Two Worlds Apart
I See Red
Wish You Well
Don’t Give Me Up
Just Act Like You Know

American Motors – Functional Music

American motors

American Motors will release new record Functional Music on November 6.

Dustin White said: “Making the first record, we established a conceptual framework to work inside of. This time we’re adding more detail inside that framework, and pushing against it slightly. We made some bigger swings in a few spots, but still just did what we do, which is basically whatever Alex and I find interesting. We’re still interested in experimenting with empty space and repetition.

“Working with J again was an absolute dream, and no band I’ve been in has managed to release a second LP while still continuing to function as a band, so this feels like a major accomplishment. It’s a little more interior to the exterior of the first LP. It’s a society, and we’re just living in it.”
