In this week’s New Records Round Up, we bring you teasers for 10 recently announced albums and EPs.
Pynch – Beautiful Noise

Pynch will release new album Beautiful Noise on October 3 through Chillburn Recordings.
Guitarist/vocalist Spencer Enock said: “We wanted to announce Beautiful Noise with Post-Punk / New-Wave because it captures the playful spirit of the record and in a way tells the story of the band through its lyrics. It’s an ironic but sincere take on making DIY music in the modern world and I love that it feels like a pop song without really having a chorus – like a slacker rock Band on the Run.”
Tracklist:
Forever
Post-Punk/New Wave
Hanging On A Bassline
The Supermarket
How You Love Someone
Revolve Around You
Microwave Rhapsody
Beautiful Noise

Greyhaven – Keep it Quiet

Greyhaven will release new album Keep it Quiet on October 10 through Solid State.
Vocalist Brent Mills said: “Good art is vulnerable.
“And I felt like an open book on this new record. But that’s a scary thing and I wrestled a lot with how much I was opening myself up, and that’s exactly what this song is about. I wanted to hide and bury myself in abstractness but that’s not how this record wanted to be presented. This song is basically me recognizing that and saying, ‘Here I am, here’s my truth, take it or leave it.'”

Sabaton – Legends

“We can finally announce that our 11th studio album LEGENDS is coming out on October 17th!” says bassist Pär Sundström.
“11 tracks that cover 11 iconic legendary stories. This time we look further back in history than we have the past few years, going to times that I think are very exciting. As someone who’s always been into the history of the Middle Ages, knights and the legends of old, it felt incredible to finally bring those stories into the SABATONuniverse.”
“Music collectors will be happy to hear that you are now able to pre-order our LEGENDS album in all formats imaginable, including digital, CD, vinyl and a cassette tape that will be featured in a box set,” says singer Joakim Brodén.
“Apart from the usual suspects, there are multiple cool editions available, and we have a bunch of cool vinyls, each corresponding to a legend.”
Sundström continues: “We’re all about telling stories through our songs, so we thought, why not do the same with our vinyls? Instead of just making them a cool colour, we wanted them to actually tell a story too. That’s why we decided to name them after the legendary figures featured on the album. It just felt like the perfect way to make them more special. We hope all the physical music collectors out there love the concept! We took the idea from the community and tweaked it ourselves!”

Beauty School – From Now On

Frontman Joe Cabrera said: “Even though the album title was kind of a play on words we were just so excited to be doing what we were doing at that time. It felt like a fitting title for the record. Four years on since we put pen to paper on that first record, we have had to mature and adapt to lives that we were perhaps naive about back then.
“The reality of working in the music industry, the strains on our mental health, the balancing of our personal lives, the loss of relationships and the passing of family members, the anxiety of the rug being pulled out from beneath us and even maintaining our love for each other and the band itself.”
“Those are the themes that are woven into all the new music we have written. We are angrier, and we are changed but we are more ambitious than we have ever been. We have come through some really tough times to get here.”

SEIMS – V

SEIMS will release new album V on October 10 through Bird’s Robe Records and Dunk Records.
Simeon Bartholomew, the brains behind SEIMS said: “The only true thing I care about in the world is growth. If we’re not trying, we may as well not be trying at all.
“SEIMS has always had this at the core – try and do something I can’t. Play drums. Play piano. Mix an album. Sing lead vocals. Arrange an entire orchestra. Cross-pollinate as many genres as possible. Write a concept album. Play something in 14/8 but make it groove as if it were 4/4. Try to be a better musician. Try to be a better composer. Try to creatively push myself, and my skill set, with every release. Try to make the uncomfortable, comfortable.
“And now being a father to a gorgeous, independent, witty joker – “trying” has so many new meanings. It’s about being able to be on the same plane as someone who has literally only experienced this planet for a mere four years. It’s also about dealing with your own inner demons in a mature manner – trying to role model not just who you are, but helping your child see who they could be.
“Flowing Upstream is exactly this. Getting thrown into the deepend of the worst, and trying to embrace it – ending up somewhere new. Abandonment is Expected is all about dealing with the unintentional abandonment of thought from a child – constantly having the stream of consciousness change right before your eyes – and trying to make sense of the why. My Memories Retain Nothing is all about trying to undo the faults of our parents and grandparents. And Forever the Optimist – well, it’s all in the name, isn’t it?”
