In this week’s New Records Round Up, we bring you teasers for 10 recently announced albums and EPs.

Galactic Empire – Cinemetal

Galactic empire

Galactic Empire will release new album Cinemetal on October 24 through Pure Noise Records.

The album sees the band go on a metal revamp of songs from franchises such as Harry Potter, Lord Of The Rings, Batman and much more!

“Puny citizens of Earth, we have once again returned to sonically annihilate all in our presence with the fourth full-length studio album by the mighty Galactic Empire, CINEMETAL,” Lord Sihk shares.

“After three albums of tribute to the mighty Sith Lord John Williams, we realized we had run out of Star Wars music and felt like a change was in order. There are many other iconic themes from Earth’s film history that we have yet to explore, and it felt prudent to pay homage to some of the most notable ones. Behold the ultimate power of the Dark Side with CINEMETAL and together we can RULE the galaxy!”

Kanadia will release new album The Fire That’s Tearing Through Our Home on September 26.

Frontman James Bettis said: “Overall, even though there are darker subject matters, I think the album feels more positive; there’s an acceptance which is different for me, because normally it’s always been quite a negative take. I feel this is a cleansing of the previous record, a more positive take; a light at the end of the tunnel… almost.”

Our Oceans – Right Here, Right Now

Our oceans

Our Oceans will release new album Right Here, Right Now on October 24 through Long Branch Records.

“After finishing [previous album]  While Time Disappears, I knew immediately that I wanted to create something lighter and more uplifting,” said guiaeist/vocalist Tymon Kruidenier.

“‘Golden Rain’ was the first song I wrote with that intention, and it perfectly captured the vibe I was aiming for. It was also the song we jammed out the most as a band, not only to refine the arrangement, but also to develop a production template for the rest of the album. With that in mind, it felt only natural for it to be the album’s opening track.

“I’m incredibly proud of our previous album, but it’s a bit of a bitter pill to swallow.

“This time around, I also felt the need to return to the creative philosophy behind the first Our Oceans album: simply letting things flow. Instead of steering the process or clinging to preconceived ideas of what the music should be, I wanted to trust in an open and unrestricted creative approach, allowing the songs to take shape naturally. It all started with the chorus for what became the album’s first track, ‘Golden Rain’. From there, everything came together in what felt like one effortless flow state that lasted for a month or two. I think this resulted in a collection of songs that feel balanced and cohesive, yet diverse and playful.”

Of Mice & Men will release new album Another Miracle on November 14 through Century Media Records.

The band said: “We’re excited to be sharing our new album, Another Miracle, with you all. It’s been a long time in the making, and the cumulation of countless hours of collaboration and hard work. We hope that our fans, old and new, will really enjoy it since we’ve not only raised the bar on the melodic side, we’ve also doubled down on the heaviness all over the album and made what we feel is an incredibly strong and authentic representation of who Of Mice & Men are in 2025.  We want to thank our fans for the years of support. We’re incredibly proud of Another Miracle, and we hope you enjoy the album as much as we’ve enjoyed making it.”

Belmont – Last to Love

Belmont

Belmont will release new EP Last to Love on September 4 through Pure Noise Records.

“This EP is a step into a place where we solidify who we are as raw and as purely as possible.” says the band.

“We wanted to push the boundaries of the current state of music to hear something that we wouldn’t be able to find anywhere else while revisiting our thrash-inspired technical pop-punk sound sonically. “Live A Lie” is a song that revisits our pop-punk roots and is meant to be an anthemic, catchy, and classic feel of the sound along with implementing our technical and shreddy flare”.

Tracklist:

Ten56. will release new album IO on September 5 through Out Of Line.

Describing the album as “a journey that starts from being taken advantage of by certain people, through feelings of revenge and questions of self doubt, before closing with self-reflection and revelation,” IO is an album in which Aaron Matts invites listeners to explore the darkest corners of his mind.

Speaking on the album, the band shares: “With IO, we’ve taken the distinct foundation on which we built our debut album on, and pushed that twisted, vulgar, yet vulnerable emotional rollercoaster even further. We thoroughly hope people enjoy the journey we created with this pivotal sophomore release.”

EDIE BENS – Songs for Myfanwy

EDIE bens

EDIE BENS will release new EP Songs for Myfanwy on September 12 through Glassnote Records.

EDIE said: “‘Songs For Myfanwy’ is an EP I wrote about growing up believing I was cursed when it comes to love.

‘I know you’re not sentimental, but this is hard for me to handle.’

Inspired by the breakups that ran in my family and my coming of age experiences, I recorded it with my best friends between London and Wales.”

Living Dead Girl – Conspiracy

Living dead girl

Living Dead Girl will release new album Conspiracy on October 10.

Frontwoman Molly Rennick said the new single “is the first taste of the new era of Living Dead Girl. It’s a dark, emotional song about how someone’s toxicity can drain the life out of you. I think everyone has that person in their lives and will see themselves in the exasperation of the lyrics — we have all had to navigate complicated relationships and this song embodies the emotions that come with it.”

Regarding the album, she continues: “I am beyond thrilled to finally unveil Living Dead Girl‘s second full-length album CONSPIRACY. It feels like the perfect follow-up album to our debut Exorcism, staying true to the sound the band created back in 2021 but also showcasing both my personal and artistic growth over that time.

“CONSPIRACY is darker, heavier, more vulnerable, and more intense, but still has the sing-along choruses you’d expect from Living Dead Girl. I hope both new listeners and repeat fans alike fall in love with this album as much as I did creating it.”

Tracklist:

Conspiracy

We’ll All Be Dead
Ugly
