Nymphic take on the A-Z challenge

Our A-Z challenge is a fun way to get to know the many bands and artists out there. Here it’s the turn of Nymphic to tell us about themselves!

In today’s A-Z challenge, we find out all about London nu-metallers Nymphic!

A song that made you want to make music?

Adam: Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen.

Omi: My Generation by Limp Bizkit.

Tony: Hands of Blood by Bullet for My Valentine.

Stix: Dance of the DeadIron Maiden.

Best rider you’ve had?

Omi: I was session drumming and taken to Switzerland, infinite beers and amazing gourmet food brought by the chef himself at the venue, proper royalty!

Tony: Definitely the road trip I had in Iceland 🤣

Adam: With my old band at a venue up north. I asked for 50 mars bars and they came through! Legends!

Stix: unlimited beer from Signature Brew.

Craziest moment you’ve had in the band?

Going into the wild and getting lost in our very 1st trippy camping trip somewhere in the UK, Still waiting to go for the 2nd. As well as the final of “Metal 2 the Masses” we probably had the most insane crowd.

Deepest lyric one of your songs features?

Adam: Frustration is my motivation. Because being a musician is 98% frustration!

Tony: Frustration is my motivation. Because being with Adam is 98% frustration!

Omi: Frustration is my motivation. You’ll understand.

Stix: I guess Ill have to agree with the guys 🤣

Easiest song you wrote?

Tony: I’d say “Party at no.10”.

Adam: Probably one of my solo project songs. Edgy goth vibez!

Omi: well in terms of writing the drum lines I’d say Pile of Me.

Stix: ooo I don’t know I always try to be as complicated as possible with the lyrics 🤣

Favourite song in your set?

Tony: probably all them but a bit less “Get By”.

Adam: It can change from time to time. At the moment, I would say probably Heal but I also love Peony

Omi: I absolutely love playing Meeting my Maker, it’s a total banger!

Stix: Meeting my Maker is a fun one for me too!

Guest you’d most like to feature on your record?

Tony: Jamie from Polaris or Charlie Rolfe from As Everything Unfolds, probably something cool will come out of it.

Omi: Corey Taylor from Slipknot.

Adam: Either Kid Bookie or Elton John. Absolute vibes!

Stix: Bruce Dickinson or Eminem for a rap verse 🤯

Hardest thing about being in a band?

Adam: It does take over your life and it can be hard balancing your personal life at times but in the end it’s all worth it!

Tony: Money!

Omi: Dealing with the fact of not having enough money or time.

Stix: All the above but a life with out this would be empty, the struggle is real but the love is so much stronger.

Interesting fact about one of your members?

Adam: Tony’s hair line is interesting.

Tony: Stix always looking for the toilet.

Omi: Tony‘s beard is interesting.

Stix: Omi always goes missing 🤣

Jokes you have in the band?

Adam: Probably my guitar playing is the biggest joke. Either that or Tony drives Stix insane by pretending not to hear what she says all the time.

Tony: Me.

Omi: I always laugh at anything anyone say ha ha ha.

Stix: wheres Omi? Is the most common one, I can’t lie it’s always a laugh with these guys 🤣

Key to writing a song?

Adam: Copy your favourite songs and change a couple of notes so they cant sue you.

Tony: Agree with Adam here.

Omi: AI-powered-music-production tools.

Stix: Omg I’m so glad I’m the last one reading these 🤣🤣 I hope it’s clear that they are joking – I’ll be the one to give a serious answer – personal experiences.

Longest distance you’ve travelled to play a show?

We have only performed in London as a band for the moment…  this year we are breaking out to the rest of the UK, we can’t wait!

Most inspiring musician you’ve experienced?

Adam: b from Avenged Sevenfold. I got to chat with him and he was the most humble, friendly guy ever and he nerded out over guitars with me!

Tony: I wouldn’t say I draw inspiration from just one musician—it’s more about the band as a whole. Growing up with bands like Bullet for My Valentine and, more recently, bands like Polaris, my influences have evolved over time.

Omi: Myself, ask the others why.

Stix: The underground bands absolutely smashing it and striving for their art inspired me a lot, and most recently the amazing Røry her story and authenticity in her struggles keep me pushing.

New band you’d recommend?

Adam: PaleFace Swiss! Angry AF!

Tony: Nymphic.

Omi: 100% agree with Tony.

Stix: Yeah Nymphic are pretty cool 👀

Opening for this band would be ideal?

Adam: I’d love to open for Bad Omens because they are perfect. K. Thanks. Byeeee.

Tony: I’d love to open for Bring Me The Horizon.

Omi: I’d love to open for Limp Bizkit, we were born from them.

Stix: Too many bands to pick from.

Place you’d most like to tour?

Tony: Definitely USA.

Adam: Probably the states because I want to eat fast food and BBQ food all day!

Omi: Japan, the dream. USA? C’mon guys!

Stix: I’m with Omi, Japan all the way.

Quote you’d like to pass on to our readers?

Adam: In the words of the Kurgen from Highlander. “It’s better to burn out, than to fade away.”

Tony: You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. – Michael Scott

Omi: Frustration is my motivation – Nymphic.

Stix: Damn I can’t beat the ones the guys suggested.

Reason for the title of your recent/forthcoming release?

Adam: I dont know, ask Stix lol.

Tony: Stix?

Omi: Sticky situation, ask Stix.

Stix: Enemy – it’s about the confusion of who to trust, your self, the government, the people around you and fighting the doubt I’m your own mind.

See us live at?

Adam: Many venues across the country. I’m not organised enough to know dates or locations. I just get told to turn up and I do!

Tony: Soon we gonna be available all over the world.

Omi: Follow us and stay tuned.

Stix: I’m the organised one… here’s a list of our next shows:

07 March – Engine Rooms

12 March – Moore Vaults (no sleep till hellfest)

16 March – Hope and Anchor Islington

20 March – Hot Box, Chelmsford

02 may – The Banks Too, Manchester

26 July – The Hunter Club in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk (festival)

30 August – The Six Six, Cambridge

Btw I’ve sent them all this list multiple times 🤣

The old days of music were better than the current, do you agree?

Adam: I neither agree or disagree. It’s just different. I love old music and I love new music. If you connect with it, it becomes timeless to you.

Tony: I believe music is always evolving, and every era has its own unique magic. The old days gave us timeless classics and shaped the foundation of music, but today, technology and creativity are pushing boundaries in ways we’ve never seen before.

Omi: I’ll ask chatgpt.

Stix: Yeah there were definitely different elements now than there were back in the day but music is always reshaping especially the more we advance technologically only time will tell of its for better or worse.

Unusual merchandise?

Adam: I have Nymphic boot buckles for my Doc Martens!

Tony: not really, i’m pretty normal (sometimes).

Stix: I think we should get bathrobes.

Variations you’d like to do on any of your songs?

Tony: Probably any of the heavy songs but in Dubstep/D&B version.

Adam: Well… it’s funny you should mention that! All I’m saying is a cinematic version of Peony would go HARD!

Stix: We recently did an acoustic show and the rendition of Peony acoustic with a saxophone absolutely slapped.

What do your fans mean to you?

Adam: They are incredible! I never thought I would be playing music again and now to be in this incredible band that has an incredible following is really amazing! I’m so grateful and humbled when someone approaches me to tell me they like the band!

Tony: Their support, energy, and belief in what we do keep me motivated and inspired. Whether it’s through their messages, showing up at events, or simply sharing our work, they make this journey worthwhile. We wouldn’t be where we are without them, and I’m truly grateful for each and every one.

Stix: I can’t express the love I have for the people who support this band, it’s my baby and I’ve put all my life into it to have the support of these music lovers means my dream is coming true.

X-rays or any treatments needed for band related injuries?

Adam: None yet but there’s time!!!! I’m very clumsy!

Tony: So far all safe.

Stix: Yeah I’ve done a show or 2 with a broken limb in the past but touch wood it’s been a while.

You’re late for a show, whose fault is it?

Adam: Omi. It’s always Omi!

Tony: Omi

Stix: Yeah…  it’s Omi…  also you know what we said about him disappearing…  seems he’s gone again 🤣

Zoo animal that next describes the personality of your band?

Tony: Gibbons because they’re chaotic little apes that scream non-stop and swing around like they’re stage diving.

Adam: Honey badger! They look cute but they’re aggressive and will fuck you up if you don’t handle them right!

Stix: Tony…are you comparing the band or me to a gibbon? 🤣
