Ditz – Never Exhale
Ditz will release new album Never Exhale on January 24, 2025, through Republic Of Music/Domino Publishing.
Vocalist C.A. Francis said: “I feel like Space/Smile is pretty unique within the album. It’s the shortest track by a fair margin. We’ve kind of become known for using dynamic shifts to create drama in our music and with this track we tried to avoid it. It’s all about the escalation.
“Never exhale feels like a logical step from The Great Regression. It’s a document of what we’ve been up to and where we’ve been as we wrote and rehearsed the majority of the album on off days between touring. Making use borrowed rehearsal spaces, sometimes donated by the bands we played with the night before. After that we’d probably debut the newly written song the next night”

The story on the album encouraged us to get out of our comfort zone, we reached for means that we had not used before in our music.
“Many of you will wonder if this is still black metal? Or is it even metal? Radio play, audiobook, theatre, film soundtrack, folk music, performance… All these terms will fit here. Some will hate, others will love…”

“Creating this EP was an absolute dream experience. Working with Mikey Demus was a real ‘pinch me’ moment for us since Skindred has inspired us for so many years,” guitarist Larry Sobieraj said.
“Recording at The Marshall Studio was a real privilege. It’s a magical place; you can feel the amazing history of music when you walk through the door.”
“We’d been aware of Lewis’ work for a while and were always impressed by the energy he brings to his mixes,” adds vocalist Jessica Douek.
“We knew we wanted him to mix our EP, and it’s every bit as energetic, aggressive, and huge as we had hoped for. This EP is undoubtedly the best-sounding music we’ve ever created.”

Winona Fighter – My Apologies to the Chef
Winona Fighter will release album My Apologies to the Chef on February 14, 2025, through Rise Records.
“We cannot believe we finally get to announce our debut LP ‘My Apologies To The Chef’ is on the way. This has truly been a long time coming,” reflects frontwoman and multi-instrumentalist Coco Kinnon.
“Our amazing label Rise Records allowed us to take our DIY approach to the recording of the album. Every song was either written or co-written by us. It was just me (Coco) and the boys (Dan and Austin) in our home studio from pre-production to sending it off for mastering.
“I couldn’t think of a better introduction to the band. 14 hard hitting tracks straight from a guest bedroom or garage. It’s raw. It’s got emotion. It’s got a little satire. Mostly, it’s uniquely us.
“It’s three punks obsessed with music, making tunes for people obsessed with music. It is a punk-rock record, period. We are so proud of this album and we hope fans old and new love it as much as we do.
“To finish this off we’d like to thank our ENTIRE team for believing in us and helping us create something incredibly special. All we ever said when we were grinding with no one on our side was ‘we just need ONE person to believe in us’ and now we have all of you… so thank you for allowing us to create, play, and live our dream! 2025 here we come.”
