In today’s A-Z challenge, we asked Pluto The Racer to take on our A-Z challenge and tell us all about themselves!
A song that made you want to make music?
Generator from the one and only Bad Religion.
Best rider you’ve had?
The Weserlieder in Minden were super professional and the catering was top tear! It was just like a big family BBQ
Craziest moment you’ve had in the band?
Doing a crazy secret basement gig at our friends dads place with Face Your Fears and the infamous Schorsch Palutzky. It was in the middle of a suburban residential area where we played our first gigs in front of like 20 of our friends in a very tiny party basement. This was the first time we really did a show there and it was very fun and way too loud for what it was.
Deepest lyric one of your songs features?
I am free to you, the less I know the better it will be and I am standing on the edge of my believe
Easiest song you wrote?
Feed My Head
Favourite song in your set?
Feed My Head
Guest you’d most like to feature on your record?
Parker Cannon
Hardest thing about being in a band?
Everything that has nothing to do with music and making it happen all the time
Interesting fact about one of your members?
Marlon has a black belt in taekwondo and plays the Saxophone
Jokes you have in the band?
Yo Marlon, what tuning are you in?
Key to writing a song?
Intuition! It has to come from the heart! You‘ve got to write the music that you‘d like playing on stage and listening to in your car.
Longest distance you’ve travelled to play a show?
We‘ve been to Gent to play with our homies in Feverchild.
Most inspiring musician you’ve experienced?
I‘d say André from Force of Denial and Face Your Fears. I love his take on songwriting and his music made me want to be Straight Edge (Paul).
New band you’d recommend?
You should check out Bitter Season from Prague!
Opening for this band would be ideal?
Musically and personally One Step Closer was an awesome fit and the shows were super cool. But we‘d also love to play with No Pressure!
Place you’d most like to tour?
The United States of ‘Merica or Japan
Quote you’d like to pass on to our readers?
“Crucifixion?”
“Ah, no. Freedom. They said I hadn’t done anything, so I can go free and live on an island somewhere.”
“Oh, that´s jolly good. Well, off you go then.”
“Nah, I’m only pulling your leg, it’s crucifixion really!”
Reason for the title of your recent/forthcoming release?
See us live at?
The Kultur Schlachthof in Düsseldorf on the 27.06.
The Rats -Kulturzentrum Obhausen on the 28.06.
The SZ FLA FLA in Herford on the 29.06.
The Kirche Von Unten in Berlin on the 13.07.
The old days of music were better than the current, do you agree?
No we really don‘t. Germany is in such a good place right now, especially with hardcore. There are so many young people doing creative stuff, making bands, writing zines, doing shows etc. and we’re beyond happy to experience that time first hand and be a part of it.
Unusual merchandise?
We‘re not that crazy with merch. We still think it‘s dope to make some tapes in 2024
Variations you’d like to do on any of your songs?
Tim and Paul played a little acoustic set in Cologne a few weeks ago. It was cool to see that if you leave all the distortion, fast drum beats and 4 x 12 cabs away, it‘s just a song that can be played in many different variations. So we’d say Feed My Head (acoustic version) is the choice then.
What do your fans mean to you?
It means the whole world to us when people are interested in the stuff we work very hard on and believe in. The feeling of having people sing along to our songs is indescribable and means everything to us.
X-rays or any treatments needed for band related injuries?
Just a lot of bruises from moshing to our friends at shows we‘ve played. I jumped off the stage when we played with One Step Closer during The Reach in Berlin 3 Times. First time was good, second time was good but on the third time people said “nah, this ain‘t happening“ and I just kissed stone floor without touching a single person on my way down (Paul).
You’re late for a show, whose fault is it?
Probably my fault because i‘m a lazy person (Paul)
Zoo animal that next describes the personality of your band?
Da Tiiijjjer 🐅
