Today AltCorner are delighted to bring you the exclusive premiere of All Tied Up‘s brand new single Use A Pencil To Draw Blood!
The track is the Milton Keynes’ quartet’s first new music since their fantastic 2017 EP Breaking Silence! While the aforementioned EP was a true pop-punk record, the quartet have gone in a darker and heavier direction with the new effort, creating a fantastic track full of intricate drums, fuzzy guitar solos, grungey basslines, punchy refrains and punky vocals, all completed with gritty screams.
Speaking of the single, the band say; “With pencil, we’ve definitely gone in a darker direction musically and in subject matter and tried to capture a slightly heavier edge.. There’s solos… screams… We want to push the boundaries of “conventional” pop punk to the limits and show that we are capable of much more than being a generic sound-a-like band and creating our own little niche.”
