AltCorner’s Guide For Truck Festival 2015!

We cannot wait to be a part of it on the 17th and 18th of July and for everyone who is attending we have created a guide of the artists we think you should go and see at Truck Festival 2015!

We are recently announced that we shall be doing Press at Truck Festival 2015. Known as “the Godfather of the small festival scene”, Truck Festival is one of the UK’s longest running and most popular small festivals. Coming straight out of the idyllic Oxforshire countryside, They’ve been able to treat audiences to some of the biggest and best emerging artists since 1998. We cannot wait to be a part of it on the 17th and 18th of July and for everyone who is attending we have created a guide of  the artists we think you should go and see at Truck Festival 2015:

Clean Bandit

After releasing track ‘Rather Be’ in 2011 that topped the UK Singles Chart, the Cambridge five-piece scooped a Grammy Award for ‘Best Dance Record’ and since then they have gone from strength to strength. Their electronic style has seen them receive widespread acclaim and their set at Truck Festival will be a truly fantastic feat for everyone in attendance.

Don Broco

The four-piece rock band from Bedford has had a rip-roaring career thus far following the release of debut album Priorities in 2012. They have worked their way up to being one of the biggest rock bands in the UK at present and with new album ‘Automatic’ on the horizon filled with tracks like ‘Money Power Fame’ and ‘You Wanna Know’ it is clear that Don Broco have no intention of stopping their meteoric rise.

Honeyblood

The Scottish musical duo from Glasgow made up of Claire Tweeddale and Cat Myers has toured with artists such as Palma Violets, We Were Promised Jetpacks and Superfood as well as playing festivals like T In The Park and SXSW. Their ‘Scuzzy Indie Pop’ style has seen them gain a loyal fan base and obtain recognition for a flawless live show.

Spring King

Manchester four-piece Spring King are fronted by songwriting drummer Tarek Musa and their style has been described as “punky lo-fi” and “dream chasing rock” but it’s their ability to create truly unique and fresh music that has ensured their rise so far. The party-like, trance-inducing and gazing sound are certain to cause a real stir at this year’s Truck Festival and we cannot wait to see them live.

Baby Godzilla

Like a fireball of formidable craziness and pandemonium Baby Godzilla deliver one of the most eye-catching performances amongst the UK scene right now. Tearing up every stage they come into contact with and holding no disregard to smashing all of their equipment for the sake of putting on an exciting show, Baby Godzilla really are the most insane thing you will see all weekend. Their delivery of math-rock meets hardcore influenced delirium means that they will certainly be flying the ‘heavy’ flag at this year’s Truck Festival so if you like chaos and ear-blowing rock beats, Baby Godzilla are the band for you.

The Wytches

Surf-Psych rock pioneers The Wytches originate from Peterborough and released critically acclaimed debut album ‘Annabel Dream Reader’ in August of 2014. Creating a fine slice of fuzz meets lo-fi indie rock; The Wytches have infatuated many audiences throughout the UK and I am sure that Truck Fest will be very much the same.

Rae Morris

At just 22 years old Rae Morris, real name Rachel Anne Morris has showcased her talent and mature take on pop music that is often regarded as beyond her years. With an appearance at Glastonbury and a debut album that peaked at number nine in the UK album charts it is clear to see that Rae Morris has the world at her feet impending her performance at this year’s Truck Festival.

Wallflower

Wallflower are alternative rock outfit from South London who draw strong influence from the grunge scene. Remarkably they only formed less than a year ago and have only released one EP entitled ‘Summer Daze’ but their quality within the four tracks and a growing reputation of a consistently good live show has seen Wallflower cited as the band to watch amongst the UK alternative music scene.

The Waylayers

The Waylayers have spent the past few months fine tuning their debut EP ‘Re:Verse’ that saw release on the 15th June. The EP has since been listed as a ‘Featured Release’ on iTunes and cited as part of ‘Tidal Rising’ on Tidal Music. The future is extremely bright for Waylayers and Truck Festival will be the perfect chance for them to demonstrate their potential in front of your very eyes.
