Now the title of KidBrother‘s latest single A Draught I Want sounds either like a kid telling you what they want, or a Welsh valleys person talking normally (I can say this because I’m a Welsh valleys girl and I do this a lot).
The London based emo-punks are set to release the track on March 24th via Say Something Records and even have a launch party for the single! The launch party is set for March 30, 2017 at Tamesis Dock Boat – Vauxhall, London and will feature Bellevue Days, Coldbones and Pretty Pistol.
The quintet take influence from the likes of Circa Survive, Alexisonfire and Letlive. Bassist Ffin Colley says of the track; “‘A Draught I Want’ is a song about opportunity. It’s about when you have a door slammed so violently in your face, violent enough to crack the frame, it will often blow out the window behind you. All it takes to seize that opportunity is a slight repositioning, adjustment of your perspective and the decision to continue.
“I tried to present the lyrics in a way that honestly reflected how I feel when I struggle creatively, how there’s always an inner conflict and how it has (so far) always resolved the same.”
