Altered Sky live @ The Garage, Glasgow

Last but not least, Altered Sky. This band definitely made an interesting entrance, it reminded me of Bring Me The Horizon but without the intimidation. The stage presence from this band was well put together and the energy was, well incredible!

First up, starting the show off was rock band, Take Today. Unfortunetly, I missed this band’s set due to missing trains. I feel terrible about this but I will be sure to keep an eye out on upcoming shows this band has in the future.

Next up was Bristol band, Beyond Recall, the intro to their set got everyone’s attention when the lights went off all eyes turned to the stage and made everyone intrigued as to what was going to happen next. As for the vocals, they were on point and the band were tremendously tight. I’m not a big fan of backing tracks in live performances but the bands cover of Flow Rida’ Low was an exception because it made the song seem more interesting, especially for an alternative gig.

Now for Rock ‘N’ Roll band, Magic Trik. They claim to bring back Roll ‘N’ Roll and from this live performance they really did live up to their word. The lead vocalist’s passionate voice and wild guitar solos drew a lot of attention and had fans rocking out to their music. Towards the end of their set, the vocalist came off stage and into the crowd playing guitar, this drew in a lot of people gathering round him, what a way to finish the performance!

The last support band was pop punk band, Miami Monroe. Having seen this band plenty of times before, this was definitely their best performance to date. The band drew in a lot of the audience and pulled more people from the back of the room to the stage. Their track from their EP “Knots & Crosses” ‘Falling for You‘ was a let down for me as they have made a new rendition of the song but again that is a personal opinion. The energy from this band is unstoppable and it is always a pleasure to see these guys live!!

Last but not least, Altered Sky. This band definitely made an interesting entrance, it reminded me of Bring Me The Horizon but without the intimidation. The stage presence from this band was well put together and the energy was, well incredible! It was constantly like this throughout their set. The vocals were terrific although, quite sqeaky throughout the performance. This was my second time seeing Altered Sky and this was definitely the better show out of the two of them!

This was an aboslutely outstanding show. I was so hyped at the end and would definitely see another show with all of these bands on the bill!

My name is Kirsty Johnston and I come from a Village called Bothwell. I have a such a tickle for Pop-punk and my favourite band is Neck Deep. I attend New College Lanarkshire studying music business in the hope to worm my way into the industry setting up live events. I am not afraid to spit out my honest opinion but I love everyone.
