The band filmed the video twice – from opposing sides with a 72 hour competition on YouTube, with the one with the most views being the official video for the song…
The band said: “Often, as humans, we needlessly argue amongst ourselves for little gain and throw each other under the bus for moral convenience. It often feels like a constant struggle that ultimately gains little more than the token satisfaction of being right one time. In reality, we all make mistakes, and growth takes patience, guidance and understanding.
“We decided to represent this futile struggle in the form of a tug of war. To illustrate the message, we filmed it twice, with each version focusing on the opposing team’s perspective and outcome. The lens is skewed to show how we often let personal biases steer a will towards a preferred outcome. ‘In a war for the sun or the moon, whose side are you on? Whose fight will you choose?”
