One of our favourite alternative artists Kid Bookie has a great new single in H.A.T.E!
Bookie said of the track: “H.A.T.E is an anthem for those who just sometimes just need to say ‘fuck it’. I wanted to make a song that was a nod back to what people know me for but also the intensity of where I lie within heavy music.
“I’ve been called all types of genre’s and names since I came in this game and for once, I feel like consciously honouring those titles, this is heavy rap at its finest, trap metal at its ugliest with the lyricism of what has got me recognised by some of the greatest rappers to spit a bar.”
H.A.T.E is the latest track on Bookie’s new album Cheaper Than Therapy II (October 9, through FLG Records).
On the album, Bookie said: “Cheaper Than Therapy II is the closest thing to a full circle fuck you imaginable. After losing a home, a relationship, friends, family, agents, labels and more, there was a time I had no hope but a remnant of a dream and a small flame.
“‘Cheaper Than Therapy’ was always about giving the underdog their moments, not just me. An underground artist bringing the legends and stars of rock and beyond into a melting pot of post-genre feeling and mood whilst asking them to bare their truths in audio format. Bringing through similar guests from Volume 1, CTT2 aims to show that through all life throws at you, whether you’re the maverick, the disruptor or able to bring the people together, doing it on your own terms for the sake of redemption was the therapy we all needed. Welcome to Cheaper Than Therapy II.”
Cheaper Than Therapy II features some amazing guest stars including Rose McGowan and Corey Taylor, and a special interlude by Kate Nash!
