After five years away from the scene, Shields have reunited with new single Bury Me and have not lost their touch!
“The whole subject matter for the song ‘Bury Me’ stems from the phrase ‘nocturnal pollution’ – a disrupted form of sleep that is informed by internal and external forces alike”, comments guitarist Sam Kubrick.
“The songs lyrics were written from the perspective of a person who is suffering from experiences such as night terrors and insomnia, and as a result dreads the torture of going to bed every night. When I first started the music for ‘Bury Me’, I had one pure intention which was to write the most quintessentially Shields track I possibly could. It ended up becoming heavily influence by our previous single ‘Jordan’ but as if it was written for our first album Life In Exile“.
