Yawning Dog are biting back with their explosive new single, Plastic.
The tune opens with a slightly distorted guitar riff before the drums and vocals crash into place, hooking you from the start. On a whole, Plastic follows a basic melody and lyrics, but that is what makes the number so captivating. From vocalist Sam Womersley’s recurring intones to Dan Wearmouth’s underlying, brooding bassline, Plastic is an experience from start to finish.
The track is best described as 3 minutes 14 seconds of angst fuelled grunge, teamed with catchy pop fuelled riffs that leaving you slightly dazed, confused and drooling for more.
Official single and video release date is September 1st. You can catch them on the ‘Plastic’ tour around the UK from 4th- 12th of Sept with Bruja.
