Review: Blind Channel – Exit Emotions

Blind Channel have released their new album called Exit Emotions!

Finnish stars Blind Channel released their new album Exit Emotions on March 1.

The distorted opening to first track Where’s the Exit is really cool. It’s not something you hear often, but the way it then transcends into a more melodic sound works really well. It’s catchy with a great hook

I really enjoyed the guitars in Deadzone and the ‘living in a deadzone’ chorus is absolutely huge.

Keeping it Surreal gives me some Linkin Park vibes with the rap style lyrics but it also has a more dance-style instrumentation during the chorus.

A scream of ‘Happy doomsday to you’ kicks off the angsty and aptly titled Happy Doomsday. It’s intense but is a very relatable track talking about the end of the world.

FLATLINE is a really cool track too which combines intense scream vocals with more melodic dance style hooks for the chorus. I love the line “don’t need a parachute to skydive, just make sure you land inside the shark outlines.”

It’s a super catchy song and one of my favourites on the album.

In all honesty I’m not that much of a nu-metal fan but Exit Emotions may well change my mind on that. Blind Channel have such a great sound here that it’s enough to turn almost anybody into a fan. I actually really want to see Blind Channel live as I feel like this would be one hell of a show!
