British punk rock quintet Eat Dirt formed late in 2016 united by their anger at the way the world and British politics is going. The band have released debut EP Eat Dirt – I for free on all digital platforms so we had a listen.

Opening track Eat Dirt is 32 seconds of fury. Pigs is triple the length of the opener but continues in the same fashion. There is a strong theme of anger running through the EP and it shows the classic punk rock aggression that can be all but forgotten in some recent punk rock bands. The guitar work in closer Dead, which is the longest track on the record at just over 2 minutes, is class.

There is one major issue with this EP and that it is barely 5 minutes long in total. Come on guys, this isn’t fair on us, we want to listen to this brilliance for ever!
