Record Roundup: New album teasers for May 10

Welcome to this week’s Record Roundup where we bring you the latest album and EP announcements!

Welcome to this week’s Record Roundup. This week we bring you 10 of the recently announced albums and EPs in the alternative music world.

Vomit The Soul – Massive Incineration

Vomit The Soul will release album Massive Incineration on June 7 through Unique Leader Records.

The death metallers said: “‘Massive Incineration’ brings 10 punishing tracks of brutal death metal, maintaining the VTS style and groove that represents us. We took care to sew darkness and violence into every single detail, creating the most mature, technically refined and angry work we made so far. The album has got a new explosive mix and master, deliberately chosen to be similar to the characteristics of the sound we wanted.

As a final bonus track, we have included a new entirely rearranged version of one of our classics, ‘Third’, that was featured on our first album. A gift for those who have been following us for years. The album concept was structured and linked closely to the atmosphere of the record.

“The sound naturally emerged during the writing of the songs, our apostles of evil (seen on our album covers since the time of ‘Apostles of Inexpression’) find themselves in the repugnant and blasphemous abyss of hell. Their purpose- to dominate the entire ‘Otherworld’, after having enticed the wandering souls in Cold.”

“It was fantastic working with the guys in Tether. again, this time for a full EP,” says producer MyKey Kew of the Mirror Work recording sessions.

“All the songs were so well written, crafted and cared for, I think everybody levelled up and put all they had into making these tracks the best they could be. It was a really fun recording process, pushing ourselves to get the best performances and tones possible during tracking—it made mixing this EP a real pleasure. I’m very excited for everyone to hear these new songs, and to see them introduced into their live set!”

Zeal & Ardor will release new album Greif on August 23.

The GREIF is a lion, a snake, and a bird,Manuel Gagneux said. “During the parade, he turns his backside to the aristocrats and sticks it to the man. It reflects where we are.

We invite listeners to hear the full spectrum of the different sides and sounds that make Zeal & Ardor,Tiziano Volante adds.

There are some gorgeous moments, but it packs in a lot of intensity and charm. In Manuel’s songwriting and the process with every member, there’s a certain intentionality as well as an element of randomness and accident. I can’t wait to see people’s reactions.

In Hearts Wake – Incarnation

In Hearts Wake will release their new album Incarnation on July 12 through UNFD.

There are 22 Major Arcana Tarot cards in every deck and 11 tracks on each record, bringing the vision to completion 12 years later.”

“But much like a coin with two sides, cards flipped upside down deliver the reversed meaning,” Taylor continues.

“Polarised in every way, INCARNATION explores the dark underbelly to mirror and stand diametrically opposite to DIVINATION.”
