It’s time to get to know Track And Field! We set the band 10 questions about their musical likes, tastes and guilty pleasures…

How would you describe your taste in music?

Vast, varied and stupid.

Who do you consider to be your favourite band and why?

I’m sorry, but this is impossible to answer. I’m sitting here trying to think of one, but I can’t. There is so much music I enjoy that there can’t be just one band that I can call my favorite.

Who is the best live band you’ve ever seen?

Noah and the Whale. I saw these at The Brudenell Social club about ten years ago and they were incredible.

What is the one song that you could listen to forever?

Roundabout by Yes. It’s just insane.

What album, if any, was a turning point in your ‘musical life’ and why?

DeftonesAdrenaline, KornLife is Peachy and NirvanaNevermind. I was about 12 or 13 when most mainstream nu-metal bands were all dropping their second albums, so I went and spent my pocket money on these amongst too many more. These albums redefined music for me and are the reason I begged my parents for my first Squier strat.

In 3 words, what makes a good album or song?

Inspiring, engaging and emotional.

A festival or a gig? Why

Got to be a festival for me. Although I don’t get out much these days, I love going to see live music. A huge part of the attraction of a show for me when I was younger and even still today is the social aspect. I guess if you’re going to see some cool music surely you meet some cool people.

Who would be your 3 dream festival headliners?

Weezer, Weezer and Weezer, because Weezer.

Who are the best new band you’ve discovered lately that everyone should know about?

Dark Spring out of Cleveland Ohio. I toured with some of Dark Spring’s other band a while back and they are solid dudes. We shared music in the van and I’ve been listening to Dark Spring since.

What band or artist is your secret, or not so secret, guilty pleasure?

I went to see Venga Boys once. That is all.
