With a summer on Warped Tour and various festival dates fast approaching, Moose Blood today unveil a new cinematic clip to accompany latest single ‘Gum’.
You Can Watch The Video Here:
The video tracks the day-to-day life of a smitten young boy and his adventurous take on modern day suburban life. Calling to mind the majesty of alternative cinema classics like the lyrically referenced American Beauty and the works of Wes Anderson, it’s a hazy accompaniment to a track which bubbles with the timeless vibe of classic Americana-influenced emo.
Speaking on the track, frontman Eddy Brewerton states: “Gum was one of the first songs we wrote for the record. It came together really easily and to me it means the world. I wrote the lyrics as I was getting to know my wife and all the little things that happened in those first few weeks. We love this song, it’s one of our favourites to play live and I think it always will be.”
Riding high off the back of their nomination for Best British Newcomer at next month’s Kerrang! Awards, Moose Blood are gearing up to take on the whole of this year’s Vans Warped Tour and the Reading & Leeds festivals – their summery, uplifting take on modern emo is perfectly suited for the glow of the festival season.
