XFest is a brand new music festival, it is run by music fans for music fans. XFest has one mission, to bring the best new bands to our nations capital!
Taking over the Garage in London on Sunday 26th July, XFest welcomes its first headliners, none other than Welsh punk rockers The Dirty Youth!
Festival organisers Alex Whiteford and Gary Broughton had this to say:
“We’re very excited to be launching a brand new festival in the centre of London. We’ve always wanted to build a platform for the best UK bands, small and big, to share the same stage.
We hope the fans will support us, and help XFest grow year after year along with the bands we showcase. We believe that the lesser known acts on our line up will be the headliners of the future.”
Renowned Bristol goth rockers Ashestoangels also join the bill alongside some of the finest acts from Britain’s current crop of stellar rock, punk and metal acts, including Press To Meco, Dirt, F.O.E.S, Amaryllis, 48Hours, City Of Ashes and Circle of Reason.
Matt Bond, The Dirty Youth says:
“We’re excited about headlining the first X-Fest. we’re ready to bring the thunder!”
Adam Crilly, Ashestoangels adds:
“Xfest is going to be London Town’s answer to Takedown and we are so excited to be headlining the second stage. In terms of London shows we’ve never done anything like this and we think it’s going to be massive!”
Adam Jerome, 48Hours comments:
“48Hours can’t wait to be part of XFest, it’s what we’re all about! Two floors of kick ass modern rock bands, that can only mean 3 things- big riffs, big choruses and high octane fun all round! We’re really looking forward to laying waste to the garage, so London, bring it!!!”
Last but not least, Sante Moonie, Amaryllis vocalist chips in:
“We’re super excited to be a part of this great event. It’s important to always support the smaller bands that are fighting to reach the surface!”
Tickets are priced at £12 and can be purchased HERE. More acts for XFest will be announced in the coming weeks so keep your eyes peeled for more news.
