Clue Records, home to some of our favourite bands including Allusondrugs, Forever Cult and NARCS have announced a brilliant new club!
Starting in January 2017, the label will launch their Clue Club. This club is going to be super exclusive with only 100 subscribers allowed in!
The idea for the club is to provide a monthly singles release in the form of a zine, with new music from featured acts being released each month. Acts already announced to feature in the zine include Colour of Spring, Fighting Caravans, Fold, Team Picture and SUNFACE. More are set to be announced as time goes on.
If you join the club, you can expect;
- a monthly 16 page, A5 zine
- an exclusive Clue Club t-shirt (we want one too!!)
- a Clue Club tote bag
- a digital download of the featured artist each month
- an exclusive podcast feature on the featured acts
- exclusive offers and discounts on all Clue Records releases, events and merch
Now doesn’t all that sound so cool? We want to join!!! Do you? If so, then you can join for only £28.99 a year including free P&P, which is less than £2.50 a month (and even cheaper than buying Kerrang magazine!) and you can join here.
Clue Records founder Scott Lewis says of Clue Club; “Finding new artists to enjoy and fall in love with is one of the main reasons Clue was started. We’ve created Clue Club so we can do this with a small group of people, matching ace bands with artistic visions to create something fun and exciting. A zine allows the bands and artists to show a different dimension to their music and themselves.”
The contents of the zine will vary each month and also feature articles from the featured artists alongside guest writers and bloggers. Some guests in the zine will include;
Girls Against – a group of feminists who are standing up to sexual harassment within live music (we wish they didn’t need to exist for this cause, but sadly, this is quite a prevalent problem in certain parts of the industry).
Tommings – a Leeds based artist who has become a talking point for his bold and eccentric designs.
Bloc – an anti-austerity online space aiming to get people talking about current issues.
Clue Club will also be holding a Christmas party on December 10 and coincides with the announcement of the club. There will be performances from Colour of Spring, AVALANCHE PARTY and TRASH and five more special guests will be announced in the run up to the event.
