Album Announcement Round-Up | New Albums

Friday is here and so we round up some of our picks for top records!

Our Nameless Boy – Tomorrow I’ll Be Scared Again

Bristol’s Our Nameless Boy have revealed their return with a new EP Tomorrow I’ll Be Scared Again, set for release on March 1st through Beth Shalom Records. The EP has a sentimental value and a very personal touch as the making of the record was hindered by vocalist/guitarist Iain Gorrie’s near year long battle with testicular cancer.

Iain says: “Most of the EP songs were written right before I was diagnosed and touch on personal past experiences.

The one exception would be ‘Nothing On My Mind’ written in the times I could stand and hold a guitar between chemo cycles. It describes many of the themes you might imagine – denial, battling with aging, isolation and how to be around people you care about’.

Yours Truly – Afterglow

Australian quartet Yours Truly are unleashing their Afterglow EP through native label UNFD on April 12! The record is their second EP and follows 2017’s debut Too Late For Apologies! Vocalist Mikaila says:  We’re very positive. We’re not going to put out songs where we sound super angry, but we still want to make sure every song we write has something important to say.”

Yours Truly – Afterglow (track listings):
1. Circles
2. I Can’t Feel
3. High Hopes
4. Delusional Paradise
5. Afterglow

Youth Fountain – Letters To Our Former Selves

On March 8, Pure Noise Records will be dealing out Youth Fountain‘s latest record Letters To Our Former Selves! The emo-punk duo released their self-titled debut Pure Noise Records EP last year and this new effort is very close to guitarist/vocalist Tyler Zanon’s heart.

He explains: “Letters to Our Former Selves is a record that holds pieces of the person I have been over the past decade. Within each track, there are impactful moments & experiences captured through lyricism – touching on topics about self-identity issues, isolation, relationships & mental health problems. I hope it means something to you all.”
