Chicago alternative rockers 7 Minutes in Heaven (not to be confused with the popular teen party game. Or maybe they can be…..) have announced that they have signed to Rude Records! The band, Timmy Rasmussen (guitarist/vocalist), Alex Rogers (bassist/vocalist), Justin Mondzak (guitar) and Brennan Gilbert (drums), join the likes of Set It Off, Knuckle Puck, The Maine and many more.

The band say; “Being such an active DIY band, signing to a label has never been our end goal but once we met Rude, we knew this was the right move! It’s all new territory for us and we’re happy to be joining a family that shares the same purpose and passion that we do. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone that’s been a part of this journey, we’re excited to begin a new chapter with you. Expect new music this year, we think you might like it.”

Adding to this, the label comment; “It’s hard to find such passionate, talented, open-minded and hard-working dudes as 7 Minutes in Heaven are. It could be nothing but love at first sight; we absolutely wanted them to be part of the Family and to start over a new and incredible adventure together. We really can’t wait to show the fans what we’ve all got up our sleeves!”

Now if you haven’t heard of 7MIH we’ll give you a quick rundown. They formed in 2012 and self-released debut EP Get in the Van (sounds ominous), debut album The Statement followed in 2014, before they reissued it with a deluxe version featuring acoustic renditions and then 2015 EP Side Effects being their most successful release to date. They have played alongside the likes of Boymeetsworld, Metro Station and new labelmates Set It Off. They have also played Warped Tour and So What? Festival in 2016 alongside also supporting Assuming We Survive, Broadside and Cold Kids in 2016!

You can get a taste of what you can expect from the band with the track I’m Okay, lifted from Stateside;
