Confessions of a Traitor are Illuminating the Night

Heck/Black Peaks @Clwb Ifor Bach, Cardiff

Okay, whoever thought of this tour is an absolute genius (someone give the guy/girl a medal!). There is bound to be chaos as I head to Cardiff's Clwb Ifor Bach for Heck and Black Peaks co-headline show.

Confessions of a Traitor – Illuminate

Overall this is a great record! The tracks are all individually brilliant and it is hard to find a weakness in this EP (well maybe the fact that it’s too short! But hey, it would be an album if it was any longer – hint hint guys!) I have a feeling this will transfer over really well live!

High Rise – Left It For Everything (LIFE)

I almost stopped writing this review as soon as I started. The temptation to start a pit in my room is too strong! The opening bars of Hands Untied sets the tone of the album, very heavy with some monster guitars and pounding drum/bass combo. The combination of harsh screams and smooth cleans mix well.

Fall of Minerva announce debut UK shows

Italian atmospheric hardcore band Fall of Minerva have announced they will be crosing the channel to our shores for the first time in October! The band, signed to Basick Records, will join Earth Moves as support for We Never Learned to Live's UK run.

Confessions of a Traitor

London/Essex based metallic hardcore band Confessions of a Traitor are set to release their new EP Illuminate on September 19th. The quintet's unique blend of motivational lyrics, monster riffs and massive breakdowns combined with their wide musical influences have seen them share the stage with the likes of Upon a Burning Body, Gallows, Feed the Rhino, Bury Tomorrow, Hacktivist and many more. We caught up with the band to chat about their forthcoming EP, heading to Europe with Caliban and I Killed the Prom Queen and crazy tour venues.

To The Wind are looking for The Brighter View!

Seattle hardcore/metal quintet To The Wind have released the video for album title track The Brighter View. The record is set for release via Pure Noise Records on October 7th.

Half Sight Speak About Debut Album!

British melodic hardcore outfit Half Sight have confirmed that they will be releasing their first full length album via Spoken Records UK on the 26th of September. This is a digital release and will be available to download/stream from all major online stores, including iTunes & Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon and Deezer. The band have also confirmed a tour around the release to celebrate and will be revealing more information on that soon.

US hardcore quintet Knocked Loose have announced that their debut album Laugh Tracks will be released via Pure Noise Records on September 16. The band, from Kentucky, have been named in AltPress' bands to watch in 2016 list and are set to take the underground hardcore scene by storm!

Detours – Our Promise EP

Detours, a six-piece melodic metalcore band from Lowestoft released their debut EP earlier this week. The EP Our Promise was recorded at Foxhound studios who in the past have recorded bands like Empires Fade and City of Lights. Our Promise was in production for over a year before it was released this week; however the wait was definitely worth it.

Texas metal/hardcore quintet Fire From the Gods are set to release their debut Rise Reords album Narrative on August 26.
