We wanted to get to know The Time Framed a bit better so we asked them to take on our A-Z challenge!

A SONG WHICH MADE YOU WANT TO MAKE MUSIC:

OrestesA Perfect Circle

BEST RIDER YOU HAVE EVER HAD:

Opening up for Gears and Seasons After

CRAZIEST MOMENT YOU’VE EXPERIENCED IN THE BAND:

Playing several slots in a music festival and running from end to end to make each show on time

DEEPEST LYRICS ONE OF YOUR SONGS FEATURES:

I want to feel the feelings we felt for the first time. I want my blood to burn like excess in the moonlight.

EASIEST SONG YOU WROTE:

Split the Heavens (on the new EP, Chrono Dementia)

FAVOURITE SONG IN YOUR SET:

Bombshell Baby

GUEST YOU’D MOST LIKE TO FEATURE ON YOUR RECORD:

Nick Reinhart of Tera Melos

HARDEST THING ABOUT BEING IN A BAND:

Keeping everything organized with so many ideas being discussed at once

INTERESTING FACT ABOUT ONE OF YOUR MEMBERS:

Our bassist, Britt K, has a Master’s degree in Forensic Biochemistry

JOKES YOU HAVE IN THE BAND:

As long as you know the basic chords, you know all you need to know about music

KEY TO WRITING A SONG:

Just go with what you feel, get weird with it

LONGEST DISTANCE YOU’VE TRAVELLED TO PLAY A SHOW:

About 7-10 hours away from home

MOST INSPIRING MUSICIAN YOU’VE EVER EXPERIENCED:

Nothing More, so much energy and talent bundled on one stage

NEW BAND YOU’D RECOMMEND:

Hexproof

OPENING FOR THIS BAND WOULD BE IDEAL:

Tera Melos (we may be a little obsessed)

PLACE YOU’D MOST LIKE TO TOUR:

Japan

QUOTE THAT YOU’D LIKE TO PASS ON TO READERS:

Learning never exhausts the mind – Leonardo da Vinci

REASON FOR THE TITLE OF YOUR RECENT/FORTHCOMING RELEASE:

Chrono Dementia relates back to our band name, The Time Framed, which we formed from the idea that music is expressed through time. Chrono relates back to time itself, and Chrono Dementia is being lost within time.

SEE US LIVE AT:

Nov. 3rd – Opening for The Convalescence at Brass Mug, Tampa FL

Nov. 4th – DeLand Music Festival, DeLand FL

Nov. 24th – Opening for Hodera at Lucky You Tattoo, St. Petersburg FL

THE OLD DAYS OF MUSIC WERE BETTER THAN THOSE CURRENT, DO YOU AGREE:

It depends, there are great qualities in songs in the past and songs today. We’re just happy to see people getting more into the experimental side of music again.

UNUSUAL MERCHANDISE:

We have spherical lollipops with our logo inside. We’re also starting to make bath bombs in the shape of the vintage bomb in honor of our song Bombshell Baby.

VARIATIONS YOU’D LIKE TO DO ON ANY OF YOUR SONGS:

Our songs are strange enough on their own, but one of our past times is turning driving songs like Folsom Prison Blues, House of the Rising Sun, and Twisting the Night Away into haunting, pagan sounding songs.

WHAT DO YOUR FANS MEAN TO YOU:

They mean everything to us. Seeing them excited, jumping around, singing songs with us is really what drives us to keep going.

X-RAYS OR ANY TREATMENTS NEEDED FOR BAND RELATED INJURIES:

Luckily no x-rays or real injuries yet, but Britt does have a habit of dropping drums on her feet or shutting cymbal stands on her fingers.

YOU’RE LATE FOR A SHOW, WHO’S FAULT IS IT:

We’re never late. Usually, we’re way too early.

ZOO ANIMAL THAT BEST DESCRIBES THE PERSONALITY OF YOUR BAND:

The owl, we’re shy people during the day, really get it at night, and can turn our heads all the way around.
